Alpha Energy I is developing a 50 MW / 114 MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project located at Girelės 8A, Jonava, Lithuania. The facility will be connected directly to the 110 kV transmission grid operated by Litgrid.
Equipment suppliers are being selected from among the world's leading BESS manufacturers. The EPC contractor, UB Solar, is also participating in the project as an investor, committing a significant amount of its own capital.
The project is expected to be fully commissioned and begin generating revenue during the second half of 2027.
Revenue streams will be derived from ancillary grid services and electricity market arbitrage. The operation and optimization of the battery storage facility will be managed by one of the region's leading licensed electricity trading and optimization companies, with extensive experience across European energy markets and an established presence in the Baltic region.
